Mick Matthewson

Mick is a seasoned professional with a distinguished career in law enforcement, having served on response teams in some of London’s most challenging boroughs, crime disruption squads, and as an authorised firearms officer. Mick excels in threat and risk mitigation and has extensive experience in developing safety plans for both personnel and venues.

During his tenure at Wembley, Mick supervised numerous public events at Wembley Stadium and the arena complex. He later served as a public order intelligence officer, managing intelligence for significant events, and as a football intelligence officer, focusing on disrupting and preventing football-related violence.

In recent years, Mick has transitioned to working with private organisations, collaborating with various police forces on ICT transformation projects, and training the next generation of police officers.

Nick Bradley – Director

Nick has a wealth of experience in Human Resource Management, Strategic Operations, ICT project implementation, and Organisational and Change Management. As an experienced entrepreneur and senior leader, he has founded and expanded several companies both in the UK and internationally. Nick is particularly skilled at simplifying complex issues to create effective solutions for clients and stakeholders. He has extensive experience working with challenging organisations and environments, and he is dedicated to enhancing public safety in a cost-efficient manner, always prioritizing a customer-first approach.

Phil Stevens – Director

Phil brings a lengthy background in law enforcement and learning and development to his role at Ihawu, where he oversees quality assurance and training. His extensive experience as a police officer has equipped him with a deep understanding of the complexities and demands of public safety and security.

In his career, Phil has trained police officers across all ranks, from volunteers to superintendents, covering a wide array of technical subjects. His expertise in curriculum development and instructional delivery ensures that training programs are not only comprehensive but also effective in meeting the highest standards of professional development. His commitment and manner fosters an environment where knowledge and skills are effectively transferred.
